The second phase of an advanced data capture solution created by Darlington-based firm Agility Systems, has gone live at corporate clothing specialists, Simon Jersey.

Accrington-based Simon Jersey, a leading worldwide specialist in the design and supply of corporate wear uniforms to business and industry, first invested in Agility’s warehouse management software in October 2006, to help improve the speed and accuracy of its operations, transforming them from manual to entirely automatic.

The implementation of the software, which was able to control the entire warehousing operation, including booking, picking and dispatching, was completed in February, and proved so successful that Simon Jersey opted for an additional module.

Agility’s warehousing efficiency module went live at Simon Jersey earlier this month, with the firm already reporting strong improvements in the way it is able to efficiently manage workers, pinpoint training needs and highlight time wasting sections of the distribution process.

Agility also has off the shelf products that integrate with many package ERP systems, including J D Edwards Enterprise One and World, SAP, Intentia, GEAC, and SSA.
