Final Phase of iLink Middleware solution goes live at Morphy Richards

Trevor Burrows, IT Director at Morphy Richards said: “The implementation has enabled us to make significant cost savings during the last 12 months, as well as significant productivity improvements in our warehouse operations”.
The final phase of an advanced supply chain solution created by Agility Systems has gone live at Morphy Richards.
Last year, Agility signed a £250,000 contract to use its iLink middleware solution to help Morphy Richards track, manage and distribute its electrical products.
The solution has helped the giant electrical manufacturer with advanced warehouse management, transaction dual cycling, accurate identification and location of stock, as well as efficient picking processes underpinned by Agility pallet tracking systems.
Under the agreement between the two companies, the solution has been implemented in three separate phases. Discussions about a fourth phase will take place at a post-implementation review.
Morphy Richards is part of Glen Dimplex Group, the world's largest electrical heating business. Founded in 1973, Glen Dimplex Group operates in the worldwide domestic appliance industry, employs 8,500 staff and has an annual turnover of €1.5 billion.
Agility Systems specialises in ERP systems integration and has extensive knowledge of warehouse efficiency, logistics and information management. Established in 1995, the firm implements these solutions to a wide range of clients all over the world. It also supplies warehouse optimisation solutions, efficiency monitoring and full transaction controls. Agility also specialises in supply chain execution over multiple ERP systems including INFOR 21, JD Edwards and BPCS.
Simon Storey, business development director at Agility, explains: “Prior to the agreement, Morphy Richards already had an effective logistics system in place but Agility’s solution means that the company can now process stock movements and track stock far more effectively. We are working with the company to discuss other ways in which its logistical operations could benefit from further use of our solution.”
