IP4 Portable RFID Reader

IP4, an accessory handle for attachment to the popular Intermec® 700 Series Color mobile computers, delivers first-of-its-kind capability by combining the power of a handheld mobile computing device equipped with PAN, LAN and WAN radios as well as a multi-protocol RFID radio that can be used worldwide.Users of the 700 Series Color mobile computers have posted productivity gains and enjoyed application flexibility enabled by the three radios— personal area (PAN) or *Bluetooth™, local area (LAN) and wide area (WAN)— as well as the area and linear imagers integrated into the handheld device. Combining those capabilities with the IP4 and the strength of the Microsoft® Pocket PC platform gives users a high performance mobile RFID solution.

IF4 RFID Fixed Serial Reader

The IF4 fixed serial reader is a “peripheral device” specifically designed with a RS232 port, which provides a cost effective solution for implementing RFID by attaching the reader to a programmable logic controller (PLC). In addition, it allows connection to external sensors or audible/visual indicators. When identifying relatively small numbers of items at a time, such as boxes traveling on multiple conveyor belts, cost savings can be achieved by deploying a single IF4 reader with four antennas instead of installing four separate readers with one antenna each.

IF5 Fixed RFID Reader

Joining an already diversified line of RFID readers, the Intermec® Intellitag® IF5 fixed reader delivers unmatched capability at the tag scan site. Considered a “smart” reader, custom applications running on the IF5 enable it to filter information from tags, as well as monitor external sensors and control audible and visual indicators, without the expense, and potential additional point of failure, of a separate server “box” required by other RFID scanning solutions. As with all Intellitag reader products, the IF5 both reads and writes to RFID tags.

IV7 Intellitag® Vehicle Mounted RFID Reader

RFID has always delivered the twin conveniences of hands-free scanning with little or no human intervention. Now, Intermec has taken that to the next level by adding the convenience of mobility with the new IV7 Intellitag® Vehicle Mount RFID reader. The IV7 joins an award winning family of Intellitag readers that include several handheld and fixed mount form factors.As Intermec’s first packaged forklift-mounted RFID reader system, the IV7 is designed for serial attachment to the Intermec® CV60 vehicle mount computer. Both are built to withstand the rigors of harsh, industrial environments and are sealed to IP65 ratings. The CV60, acting as the local host for the IV7, provides network management and security. The built-in DC-DC converter handles the noisy input power environment.
